The main objective of the trawler “Capricorn” Naval Forces of the French Republic, which docked on March 23 to the mooring of the Odessa marine station is to support bilateral cooperation in the naval sphere between Ukraine and France. “The main goal of the visit of our ship to Ukraine is to support bilateral cooperation in the naval sphere with your country, and security in the Black sea basin,” – said Magnan.

Visit of the ship to Odessa will run until March 26. After the release of the trawler from the port, held bilateral exercises with ships and boats of the Navy of the Armed forces of Ukraine program PASSEX.

Also, as noted by Magnan, “Capricorn” is not the first is in the Black sea. In early July 2006 the crew of this ship in the squadron ships participated in the international naval exercise and went on an official visit to the Bulgarian port of Varna.

The defense Ministry added that the visit to the Ukrainian port of ships of NATO, this year is the second, after visiting Odessa in February 2019, the us missile destroyer “Donald cook”.
