The winner of the national selection for Eurovision 2019 MARUV that refused to go to the song contest in Israel, has complained that the media rip her words out of context.
“The situation with the Eurovision song contest 2019, which is seemingly long forgotten, every day comes back to me the new headers, leading to a screeching halt,” she writes on his page in Instagram.

“Explain the last time: I am very familiar with Sergei Lazarev, who was my mentor in the Ukrainian project “the Voice Krainy-4″, where I participated 5 years ago. But apparently my acquaintance with him became such a big topic of speculation in the headlines of our press,” – said MARUV.
When the singer did not give a specific answer, for whom will vote in the Eurovision song contest.
“For whom I vote in the Eurovision song contest? I tell you this: I am for banger that will blow up Europe! Each artist will take the stage of the Eurovision song contest in tel Aviv, I wish you luck, courage and victory! I – for music!” – summed up artist.
Earlier media reported that MARUV said it plans to look at the numbers of all participants of the contest, but now allegedly supports the representative of Russia Sergey Lazarev.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the current national selection for Eurovision in Ukraine was a scandal. The NOTE said that after the failure MARUV the representative of Ukraine at the international competition will be chosen from the finalists of national selection. However, the finalists, who took second and third place in the scoring summary (group Freedom Jazz and KAZKA, respectively), also refused to participate in the current contest.
In the end, the NOTE announced that this year Ukraine will participate in the Eurovision song contest-2019.
