The court of Spain refused to transport the bodies of Igor Malashenko, Russia

The Russian Embassy in Spain requested a permit to transport to Russia the body of one of the founders of NTV, Igor Malashenko, who died at his home in the resort town of Sotogrande (Costa del Sol), but was refused.
Local court substantiated this decision by the fact that transporting a body would be possible only after complete elimination of the criminal nature of the death Malashenko.
The investigative judge of the court N2 of the municipality of San Roque (Andalusia), who is investigating the case of a deceased Russian journalist, told the High court of Andalusia that the Russian Embassy has been asked to authorize the transportation of his body to Russia. However, the judge refused, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the Supreme court of Andalusia.
It stressed that not yet completed the necessary investigations, in particular related to the conduct of Toxicological analysis and a final autopsy results.
“Until they receive their results (analysis and autopsy), which will entirely reject any theory of crime (death Malashenko), the transportation (of the body) cannot be approved,” – said in court Andalusia.
The results of all examinations should be received in about a month.
On the death Malashenko, who committed suicide at his home in Spain, it became known on February 25. According to the preliminary report on the autopsy signs of violent death there.
Earlier it was reported that Malashenko had to be buried in the Troekurov cemetery in Moscow.
Igor Malashenko graduated in 1976 the faculty of philosophy of Moscow state University and in 1980 from the graduate school. Was one of the founders of NTV, as well as the CEO rgtrk Ostankino. In 1996, he was chief adviser to the election campaign of the candidate in presidents of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin. In January 1997, Malashenko became one of the founders of ZAO “Media-most”, was a member of the Board of Directors of the company, which unites the assets of businessman Vladimir Gusinsky.
Since 2000, Malashenko moved to permanent residence in the United States, often in Spain.
In 2001-2009 he was the CEO of channel RTVI.
