Today, February 20, Ukraine celebrates the Day of memory of Heroes of Heavenly hundred.
In the calendar, it is marked according to the decree of the President of Ukraine of February 11, 2015 “About celebration of the feat of participants of revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred.”
In 2014, during the revolution of Dignity on the capital Institutskaya street security forces shot protesters.

Just killed about a hundred people, who then were called “Heavenly hundred”.
On the same day on the Maidan took place the farewell to the dead protesters.
As previously reported by the Focus:
- The head of the office of special investigations of the GPU Sergey Gorbatyuk argues that the investigation of crimes against the revolution of dignity has not ended. The reason is the lack of support from the government and law enforcement agencies.
- In a statement Amnesty International, which was published on the fifth anniversary of the shooting of protesters Instytutska street in Kyiv, says that “the system” precludes the investigation of the crimes committed during Euromaidan.
