The current President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite is not running for President.

As writes the European however, the first round of elections held on 12 may, and the second, if necessary, on may 26.

“For elections, I will take unpaid leave from my current post of Commissioner for health and food safety from 1 April to 13 may. And, if necessary, from may 14 to may 27,” said Andriukaitis.

He will be nominated by Lithuanian social democratic party, which is a member of the group of “Socialists and Democrats” in the European Parliament.
