In Ukraine from 19 to 25 January fell ill with measles 3279 employees: 1350 adults and children 1929. This was 6% less than last week, according to the Ministry of health.

“This year, died six people, including two children. In 2018, the measles took 16 lives,” – said in the message.

The health Ministry also said that “vaccination is the only protection from measles, even if there is an outbreak of disease”.
The Ministry said that “the measles outbreak rages across Europe”, and besides Ukraine is a serious situation in Serbia, Albania and Georgia.

Earlier in the Ministry of health reported that the year had measles more than 52 thousand Ukrainians.
It was also reported that the health Ministry will soon prepare the documents to convene a special Commission to review the issue of necessity of Declaration of a measles outbreak in Ukraine.
In particular, and .about. the Minister of health Suprun did not rule out that the epidemic of the disease can declare within the region.
In addition, Suprun at the all-Ukrainian forum “Safe country” said that the Ukrainian army and security agencies threatens the measles, it is therefore necessary to carry out the vaccination campaign of the military.
