In Venezuela arrived mercenaries “PMC Wagner” for the protection of Maduro media

“The head of Committee of all-Russian officers’ Assembly Evgeny Shabaev said that he heard that the number of Russian contractors in Venezuela may be about 400. In his opinion the mission of mercenaries to protect Maduro from attempts of the opposition to detain him”, – stated in the message.

However, other sources indicate a smaller number of mercenaries. Also, in recent weeks in Venezuela have landed several planes of the Russian government, however, there is no evidence that they are associated with the Russian mercenaries.

“A third source close to the Russian contractors also said that in Venezuela there with their troops, but could not say when they arrived or what their role”, – stated in the message.

The publication sent a request to the Ministry of defense of Russia and the Ministry of information of Venezuela about the arrival of the mercenary PMC, but received no response. Also, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that has this information.
