Cyprus arrested the property of the Firtash – media

KIEV. 16 Jan. UNN. Cyprus court seized movable and immovable property of Ukrainian billionaire Dmitry Firtash almost 46 million dollars. About it reports “Kommersant”, citing its own sources, reports UNN.

It is reported that security measures have affected the parent company of the oligarch Group DF Holdings Limited.

The reason for the court’s decision, according to the publication, was the claim of the Russian VTB Bank, which is owed to the two structures of the businessman – PRJSC “Ukrainian chemical products” and LLC “Titanium investment”. The total amount of debt exceeds 2.5 billion (about 37.5 million dollars).

According to sources, the lawsuit in the district court of the Cypriot city of Limassol was filed December 20, 2018 lawyers VTB Bank, and a week later it was taken of the interim measure. The claim on the merits will be considered at the end of January.

In a press-service VTB, the information on arrest of the assets of Dmitry Firtash confirmed, but from detailed comments has refused.
