As reported the UNIAN, January 5 Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew signed a Tomos, which granted independent status of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, creation of which was announced to the Unification Council 15 December 2018. According to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Patriarchate of Constantinople granting autocephaly, took millions of believers of Ukraine as a real mother Church, in contrast to their “stepmother”.
