Avakov called Odessa crime capital
KIEV. 4 Dec. UNN. The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that Odessa in recent months turns into a “criminal capital” and promised extensive testing with participation of specialists from other regions. The Minister stated today during a meeting of law enforcement officers in Odessa, reports UNN , citing the press service of the interior Ministry.
“Do Odessa has become in recent months in the capital of the criminal world? Why is it so that professional raiders-activists became the attribute of the business and political life of Odessa? This is the main question that follows from what we see on the streets. And why is it so – a question for the local business and administrative elite. The monopoly on force belongs only to the state, no guy with the bat could not determine the degree of justice. As we move forward”, – said Avakov.
Within this context, he announced the holding in the region of a number of checks.
“There will be a test of the economic sector with the involvement of experts from other areas to try to move away from the potential risks of dealing with police officers. The streets are also involved patrols of the national guard,” – said Avakov.
We will remind, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko at the meeting of police in Odessa said that in the Odessa region is still not finished with separatist sentiments and groups.
