In the Austrian capital on the eve of the auction of stolen landscape “Golfe, Mer, Falaises Vertes” painted by the famous impressionist Pierre Auguste Renoir.
The picture, according to Vloomberg, was stolen from Vienna’s Dorotheum auction house on Monday, November 26. The thief entered the gallery, removed the painting from the wall, left the building and disappeared into the crowd.

The landscape was painted in 1895 and recently was kept in a private collection. The painting was estimated between $136 000 to $181 000.
