In 2019 in Ukraine will have its next presidential and parliamentary elections. Our citizens will be able to vote abroad.
About how the Ukrainians will be able to vote in the elections-2019 abroad, reminded the Embassy of our country in the Kingdom of Belgium in Facebook.
The citizen of Ukraine who resides or is in the period of preparation and elections outside of Ukraine, exercises his right to vote in elections on a common basis, regardless of the legal basis of stay in the territory of a foreign state, as well as stay or nepreryvnye on consular registration in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine.
As in Ukraine and abroad, every voter votes in elections personally. Proxy voting or transfer of a voter the right to vote to any other person is prohibited.
To the voter from Ukraine to vote abroad, you must:
to be included in the voter list at overseas polling station located on the territory of the corresponding foreign state;
– to personally arrive to the appropriate foreign polling station on the voting day;
– to have at itself the document which confirms nationality of Ukraine and is the basis for obtaining a ballot at the overseas polling station, namely: a passport of citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad; diplomatic passport of Ukraine; service passport of Ukraine.
It is worth mentioning that the foreign polling stations local elections are not held.
In addition, citizens of Ukraine, who permanently or temporarily live abroad, can:
1) personally apply to the foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine the statement for inclusion in the State voter register or change voting address (if it is already included in the State register of voters). You also need to provide documents or copies of them (but the originals need to show required), confirming the changes;
2) to apply to the relevant foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine to become on the consular account.

Also during the election process, Ukrainians can:
– personally to file within the statutory deadlines (not later than five days before voting day) in the relevant precinct election Commission of overseas polling station statement of inaccuracies, including omission, in the preliminary list of voters;
– personally to file within the statutory deadlines (not later than five days before voting day) in the body maintaining the State register of voters in his constituency at the Department of conducting and administering the State register of voters of foreign Affairs of Ukraine statement regarding temporary change of place of voting without changing the voting address. This way of inclusion in the voter list at overseas polling station is recommended in case if a citizen of Ukraine located on the territory of another foreign state for a short period.
Note that the application for the temporary change of place of voting without changing the voting address of a foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine or the precinct election commissions of polling stations will not be accepted.
“Citizens of Ukraine who reside or who during the elections would be abroad, needs to take care of his inclusion in the lists of voters in the respective foreign polling station. Laws of Ukraine “On elections of President of Ukraine” and “On elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine” clearly defines that the day of voting in the revised voter list at overseas polling station may be amended only correct inaccuracies and technical misprints, and does not provide for the introduction of new voters,” – said at the Embassy.
