There was a record of a noise attack on the U.S. Embassy in Cuba – audio

“It sounds like a lot of crickets… Listen carefully: there are multiple, distinguishable tone, and when they resonate, remind some effect of scratching nails on a blackboard” – described high-frequency sounds in the Agency.

Affected by noise diplomats confirmed to the AP that it is these sounds drove them crazy at the U.S. Embassy in Cuba.

Experts in sound stated that such recording is not dangerous “for a short listen on your devices or computers”. Records sent for analysis to the laboratory of the U.S. Navy.

What was the source of the sounds remains unknown. The Americans in the Havana Embassy complained that the noise filled their “extreme volume”.

Media reported that hearing problems diplomats could be associated with devices that emit inaudible sound waves that can cause deafness. 29 September 2017 US Secretary of state Rex Tillerson ordered most of the staff of the Embassy of Cuba and members of their families to leave the island because of the noise, which led to the deterioration of health of some Americans.

Cuba denies this information and reiterates its own investigation of these allegations.
