The appellate court reversed the decision to arrest Lavrynovych

The Kyiv court of appeals has dismissed the appeal of protection ex-the Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych for his arrest. The corresponding decision on Wednesday, the judge said Tatiana Rosik, reports UKRINFORM.

“The appeal counsel Lavrynovych to meet,” said Rosic.

In comments to journalists after the meeting, Lavrynovych stated that he would comply with their procedural obligations in good faith.

The Prosecutor Janis Simonov told reporters that the prosecution was not satisfied with the decision of the court.

On 15 September the court arrested Lavrynovych until 2 November 2017.

Lavrynovych suspected of complicity in the usurpation of power fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych was elected President with powers limited by the Constitution of 2004. After the decision of the constitutional court of 2010 on the return to the Constitution of 1996, Lavrynovych ordered to publish this decision and to bring the legislation into line with it. The old version of the Constitution back without the decision of Parliament. Yanukovych received more broad presidential powers.
