Scientists have found an antibiotic in the usual mud

Open to physicians and scientists in the beginning of the XXI century discrediting achievements of their counterparts a century ago is today focused attention on microorganisms that are resistant to antibiotics, instead of the drugs themselves. Advanced minds realize that the opening of the resistant to all the antibiotics the bacteria will happen very soon, they are forced to rush to find a solution. Traditionally, it is being sought in the strangest places.

A group of scientists from the institutes of Waksman and Rutgers have identified components of a future “super drugs” from the toxins that generate bacteria living in the mud. Suddenly it became clear that it is a storehouse of nutrients – poor food environment and the microorganisms in it are fighting for life, evolving at an unprecedented pace. Some have learned to kill the competition by using what scientists dubbed “pseudouridylation” (pseudouridimycin).

Strong, effective natural poison, it can kill, including those bacteria that have learned to ignore antibiotics! In the first laboratory experiments produced in the mud toxin famously destroyed 20 varieties of “super-bacteria”, including streptococci and staphylococci. And so the opening looked more impressive, scientists were quick to say that these harmful microbes are unlikely to adapt quickly to the new threat.

Safe terrible pseudouridylation for a person? According to – well, clinical studies will begin in the next decade, and earlier than 2030 to the new ultra-efficient antibiotic should not count. And even after it will adopt, it will only delay the bitter end – is an endless combination of poisons and antidotes, we need to find another method of dealing with disease-causing bacteria.
