The leader of the Social democratic party of Germany (SPD) Martin Schulz called on his party members to achieve the creation of a “United States of Europe” by 2025, which would lead to deeper European integration. He said this during the Congress of the SPD, reports EUobserver.

“I suggest the European constitutional Treaty, which will create a Federal Europe,” said Schultz.

According to him, the agreement will be presented to the member States of the EU to ratify, and those who will not support him should automatically leave the unit.

Schultz is convinced that only reinforced the EU can confront right-wing nationalists who have recently strengthened their positions in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France and the Netherlands.

He also noted that with the participation of the SPDG in a coalition with the party of Angela Merkel’s European policy will make Germany less focused on austerity. He is confident that the Eurozone should have more investment, the Minister of Finance and budget.
