Klimkin explained the Hungarian colleague the essence of education reform

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during the meeting in Budapest explained to his Hungarian counterpart péter Szijjártó, the content of educational reforms in Ukraine. This reports the press service of the foreign Ministry.

According to the report, the main attention was paid to the new law of Ukraine on education.

“The Hungarian side explained in detail the content of the educational reform and the arguments presented in relation to the groundless fears of the rights of the Hungarian minority. Klimkin noted that the document fully complies with international standards, Ukraine has passed an educational law for expertise to the Venice Commission, to address the concerns,” – said in the message.

The foreign Minister noted that the readiness for dialogue in the process of implementation of educational reform in Ukraine – the path to understanding. In this regard, confirmed the visit of the Minister of human resources of Hungary Zoltan Balogh in Ukraine on October 19.

Klimkin appealed to the Hungarian counterpart with a request for further support in countering Russian aggression, restoring peace and territorial integrity of Ukraine, expressing gratitude for the assistance provided in the treatment of the wounded Ukrainian military, the health of children from families of participants ATO, humanitarian aid.

Today in Strasbourg at the urgent debate in the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe had decided to urge Ukraine to consider when the implementation of the law on education “without exception,” recommendations of the Venice Commission on this document and to amend the law itself.
