Israel police recommends to accuse Netanyahu of corruption

Israel police recommended that the present Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu accused of corruption, fraud and breach of trust. About it reports Reuters.

Netanyahu himself called the accusations unfounded and promised that he will finish his fourth term as Prime Minister.

The Israeli attorney General will decide whether to indict the Prime Minister charge. Studying his works can go weeks or months.

The police gave recommendations based on the results of investigation of two criminal cases. The recommendation has no legal force.

In the first case we are talking about expensive gifts that Netanyahu allegedly received from business representatives, totaling approximately $280 thousand.

In the second case investigated the alleged attempt of the Prime Minister to negotiate with the owner of a large publishing house about the positive coverage of the government. In exchange, Netanyahu allegedly offering to limit the possibility of a rival newspaper.

Netanyahu was questioned from the beginning of 2017. He denies all charges.
