For eight years, convicted a citizen of Germany who tried to smuggle an infant from the Ukraine

KIEV. 14 Feb. UNN. A German citizen who tried to export from Ukraine of a newborn baby, sentenced to eight years in prison. On Tuesday, February 13, said the Prosecutor’s office in Lviv region, informs UNN.

The actions of the man and his accomplices were qualified as illegal transportation across the state border and forgery of documents and trafficking. Also to eight years of prison and got the child’s mother, and the organizer of this scheme sentenced to nine years in prison.

According to the Prosecutor of Lviv region, 27 August 2015 at the checkpoint “Krakovets” border guards detained a citizen of Germany, who presented the documents confirming paternity and allowing to cross the border with a newborn baby.

However, police learned that the man is not the biological father of the child, and in fact got the baby from the mothers in Lviv. Subsequently it was established that to perfect involved the child’s mother and another woman — a resident of Dnipropetrovsk region, which organized the illegal scheme.

They were accused of trafficking committed against a minor, illegal transportation across the state border and forgery and their use.

First, the Shevchenko district court of Lviv has sentenced a German citizen and the mother of the child up to five years in prison, and the organizer of export, up to six. But the Prosecutor’s office disagreed with this decision and filed an appeal. In the result the accused was sentenced to eight and nine years of imprisonment.

Recall that the Ukrainian border guards detained a foreigner, who was wanted for kidnapping, unlawful entry into a dwelling and rape.
