Epiphany thanked US for the support
KIEV. 21 Dec. UNN. In St Michael’s Vydubytskyi monastery was held the meeting of the Ambassador of the USA in Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU), Metropolitan Epiphanius, it is reported by UNN with reference to the edition “Kiev diocesan Gazette”.
“Metropolitan thanked the United States for efforts to protect religious freedom worldwide, and then for the support of the rights of the Orthodox in Ukraine of an independent Church, according to their own choice”, – reported in the publication.
The meeting of the parties involved sharing best practices and ideas on a range of issues associated with the practical aspects of emergence PCU.
As reported UNN, the US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo had a phone conversation with Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius.
