Case Sushchenko: the basic court in closed session will be held in January

Protection illegally detained in Russia Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, expects that the primary court for his case to be held in January 2018. About it reports Deutsche Welle.

“Now we get acquainted with the case materials. Procedure we will continue to appeal against actions of bodies of investigation and court, in cases when they are against the interests of my client. We will continue to get acquainted with case materials, to understand what additional procedural evidence we need to provide on the main court. I think that it will take the November-December “, – said the lawyer Sushchenko mark Feigin.

According to him, today the Moscow city court rejected the complaint of protection to prolongation of term of arrest Sushchenko until November 30.

“In January to begin the main hearing, but because state secrets will be held behind closed doors. If the court is to sit continuously every day, it is not excluded, the trial may last only one month,” – said Feigin.

On 10 November it was reportedthat the Federal security service of the Russian Federation has finished investigation of criminal proceedings Sushchenko.

Sushchenko was arrested at the end of September 2016 in Moscow. He was there on personal business. The FSB saidthat the detainee “is a member of the Gur.” Ukrainian intelligence involvement Sushchenko the Ministry denied. Later the journalist was accused of espionage and arrested.
